A site to introduce the Baha'i faith

THE BAHA’I FAITH

Throughout the ages, God has made and renewed His Covenant with man. The essence of this Covenant is this: God will be our God, and we will be His people. A lot of information about the Covenants between God and man are in the Old Testament section of this site.

Just as Moses brought a three-part Covenant between God and the Israelites, so too, the prophet of the Baha’i faith brought a two-part Covenant between God and the followers of Baha’u'llah. The first part is written by Baha’u'llah, called the Covenant of Baha’u'llah. The second part is an addendum to the first part, and is written by Baha’u'llah’s son Abdu’l-Baha, called the Will and Testament of Abdu’l-Baha.

Baha’u'llah brought the teachings for the Kingdom of God on Earth that was prophesied by Isaiah. Isaiah foretold that this Kingdom would be ruled by a House of the Lord, and all nations would flow to this House of the Lord. Baha’u'llah, Abdu’l-Baha and Shoghi Effendi wrote many, many details about how this institution would function. Some of the terms they used for its various stages are: International Tribunal, Internation House of Justice, Universal House of Justice, International Baha’i Council, etc. Thus, a compilation of writings about this institution is included on this site.
